Work… in garden
Well I’ve got a truck coming to finish up the last of the jobs I had this spring. Haul out the fire wood and deliver it to where it needs to go, and to pick up the equipment on the way back threw and deliver it to my place. Then I’ll finally be able to plow up the garden…. Dang, I’m running late. But I’m still in the window for planting veggies here in the north east. So hopefully by the end of next week the garden will be planted.
Compared to what I was going to try and plant this garden is going to be small. A plot size of 25 X 40. And a small 10 X 20 cold frame greenhouse. Still I can get a lot of food out of that space. 960 square feet is nothing to sneeze at.
Now for the list of goodies I’m planting. I don’t care if you want to hear it or not. I need it so to remember what I need to plant!
- lettuce
- spinach
- radishes
- sweet corn
- potatoes
- peas
- bush green beans
- Sunflowers
- carrots
- onions
- tomatoes
- various squash
Seeing that I’m already 2 weeks late, and by the time I’m done ittle be 3 weeks late, I hope it all comes good. If it does, perhaps after I take out my share, I’ll try to take some to the local farmers markets and get my toe hold on the farming bit that I want to do.
I havn’t given up!
